Erik was born in Lancaster, California on August 21, 1987. He grew up in Palmdale and attended Rancho Vista Elementary, Hillview Middle School, and graduated from Quartz Hill high school in 2006. He attended Antelope Valley College majoring in Film. Although he didn’t finish, he was a master at creating, editing, and writing short films and videos. He played soccer with AYSO from 4 ½ yrs old until he was 18. He also played on a couple of adult soccer teams after high school. His real sports passion was football and his precious Rams. He made every football season an adventure. Throughout his adult life, Erik had several different jobs. He finally found his niche in Real Estate. He was always able to talk to anyone and could sell ice cubes to Eskimos. He learned quickly and became the student teaching the teacher.
He adored his son, Ian. The apple of his eye and his “mini me”. They were not only father and son but best friends. There isn’t anything he would not do for him. So very proud of him, always. They enjoyed the same music, some hobbies, and just hanging out together. They were so very much alike in so many ways.
Erik has always been the guy everyone wanted to know. Even as a boy, he was always surrounded by friends. His sense of humor was unique and his smile and laugh contagious. There was never a dull moment when Erik was in the house. His getaway place was always Ventura. He loved the beach. He would talk about moving there some day.
Erik is survived by his mom, dad, brothers, Christopher, Tristan and Tylor, his son Ian, and his fiance’ Dianna Lane.
