It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Evangelina (Vangie) Iribarren, born on May 4, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. She was 66 on January 7, 2025, when she went to heaven, she was a lifelong resident of Lancaster, Ca. A beautiful soul both inside and out, Vangie was a source of unwavering love, light, and joy to all who knew her. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of countless people, making everyone feel like family. She was a true protector, fierce in her love, and would go to any lengths to ensure those she loved were safe and cared for.
Though she may have been small in stature, Vangie’s heart was larger than life. Her passion for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, was unparalleled. She found her greatest happiness in them, and nothing brought her more joy than hearing them call her “G.” Her love for us was magical—a constant reminder that we were cherished every single day. Her selflessness and dedication to her family were boundless, and she made sure that no holiday would pass without reminding us just how much we were loved. Her love for us will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her mother Consuelo Iribarren, children Consuelo Carlson, George Rodriguez, Stephen Carlson and Jacalyn Rodriguez. Her grandchildren are Landon Reisinger, Dominic and Donavon Rodriguez. Along with her sisters Diane Maldonado, Linda Green, her brothers Federico Iribarren Jr., Rene Maldonado and Trent Green. Along with nephews, nieces and their beautiful children.
Our mother was a pillar of strength, always going above and beyond in every role she played, whether as a mother, grandmother, friend, or coworker. She worked for over thirty years with Rockwell/Boeing along with over twenty years at LCH/Palmdale Regional Medical Center.
As we mourn her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now in Heaven, reunited with her father (Tata) and holding on tight to her grandson Logan Rodriguez. Though we miss her more than words can express, we take solace in the thought that she is watching over us.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you consider contributing to our Venmo account (@Iribarren_Family) to help us with funeral expenses and to support our Nana, with whom our mother lived. There is no obligation to donate, but any contributions are greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 30, 2025, from 12pm – 5pm at the Antelope Valley Country Club, 39800 Country Club Dr, Palmdale, CA 93551. Please join us as we celebrate the incredible woman our mother was and the lasting impact, she made on all of our lives.
We love you, Mom, more than words can say. You were the center of our world, and though you’ve taken a huge piece of us with you, we know that you will forever remain in our hearts. Love you too much, Love you more & 4always & 4Ever.
