Hello loved ones, relatives and friends, We are here to celebrate the wonderful life of Reginald James Stewart. Born on the 8th of October, in Queens, New York, to Denise and Reginald Stewart in Queens General Hospital. Since that perfect day the world has not known such a force from his unbelievable ability to calculate large numbers to him being able to spell any word you can come up with, we were blessed to have known him. It has been one amazing thing after another from childhood days of him at El Dorado Park making arts and crafts out of popsicle sticks to chasing his baby brother Stephen around his house with a broom. It has been a pleasure.
As a child, Reggie found his love for music, and especially playing the drums. Watching his uncle's band BAM and Creation ULS. I can remember him always saying I would never look left I would never look right I would just stay staring straight ahead at everything he did, when speaking about his uncle Curtis Crenshaw. It wasn't long after that he found his love for God and neither has ever stopped.
Reggie enjoyed drumming whether it be, pots and pans, buckets, whatever he could find. If you knew him then you knew. Other times he was out making friends or messing with the neighbors dogs. Good ol Regg, had a natural way of putting a smile on your face. He had silly phrases like "Get the soap Cactus Omar" and these crazy sounds that he would make with his whoppie whistle. He truly shined a light like no other, so we aren't here to say goodbye but rather to say see you later!!
Reggie was proceeded by his father Reginald Stewart senior, his Uncle Curtis Crenshaw who was the world's best drummer & natural impulse leader, China Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Magic Mendez Jr. He is survived by his loving mother Denise Stewart, two brothers Shawn and Stephen Stewart, his baby sister Lakia Stewart, and their children Semahj, Semari, and Askari Stewart. Nieces Xianna, twins (Layla and Layloni) and Olivia Tyshawn and Tyshawna, nephews lil Shawn, and lil Stephen Kamari but that's not even the beginning. He's also survived by Calvin Yates also known as Sly, Kim Crenshaw (aunt) and so many cousins. He is also survived by his extended family which is his church home, his friends from Edwards Air Force Base, El Dorado baseball team, staff, and really this whole city. There isn't a person that met him that has forgot him. We are happy to leave you in God's hands may you rest in peace.
